Privacy Policy

When you use HuntKit, here's what we collect:

• Account info. Your email address and name when you sign up.
• Resume content. What you enter in the builder or upload. Stored in your account so you can come back to it across sessions.
• Job descriptions. The postings you add or that get matched to you via our job search engine.
• Generated content. Cover letters, ATS scores, interview prep, and AI Career Coach conversations.
• Notes. Anything you create in the notes drawer. If you record audio, it gets transcribed and the recording is discarded after processing.
• Interview transcripts. From practice or real interviews, stored alongside AI summaries and scores.
• Demographics & custom answers. Optional EEO information and custom form answers from Settings. Used by the browser extension to auto-fill application forms.
• Usage analytics. Anonymized interaction events via PostHog (page views, feature usage). No resume content is included.

Your data is used for HuntKit's features and nothing else:

• Tailored resumes, cover letters, and ATS score reports
• The resume builder, ATS Coach, and AI Career Coach
• Interview prep generation and recording summaries
• Semantic job matching
• Calendar sync for interviews you schedule
• Auto-fill on job application forms via the Chrome extension
• Payment processing for subscriptions and credit top-ups

We don't sell your data. We don't use your resume or job data for advertising. And we don't share your data with third parties except as needed to operate the service.

• Voice notes. Recorded locally, sent to our server for transcription, then the audio is discarded once it's done.
• Interview recordings. Stored in your account alongside transcripts and AI summaries.
• Deletion. You can delete any recording at any time from the recordings list.

• What it does. Reads form fields on job application pages and auto-fills them with your resume data and custom answers.
• What it talks to. Our API server only, authenticated via your session token.
• What it doesn't do. Send data to any other service.
• When it activates. Only on recognized ATS domains.

• HTTPS everywhere. All data in transit is encrypted.
• Row-level security. Database policies enforce per-user data isolation, so you can only access your own data.
• Security headers. HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options, and Referrer-Policy are set on every response.
• No password storage. We don't store passwords directly.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you deactivate your account, your data is preserved and you can restore it by contacting support. If you permanently delete your account, all associated data is irreversibly removed.

You can:

• Export your resume data as PDF or DOCX at any time
• Delete individual resumes, notes, recordings, applications, or your entire account
• Disconnect Google Calendar from Settings
• Request a copy of all data we hold by contacting us

The “Jobs For You” feature matches you to jobs aggregated from public sources. We collect this data on your behalf, so it isn't your personal data.

Job listings are cached in our database and refreshed on a schedule. We don't guarantee the accuracy or availability of any listing. Always verify on the employer's website.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
